In fact, Bullock, 49, told reporters Tuesday during a press conference for her new film Gravity that before signing on for the movie, producers had to accommodate Louis.

“I said…make it so I’m not somewhere not paying attention because I’m so worried about, ‘Where is he? Is he having fun? Is this a good life experience?’” she said, according to People magazine.

In Gravity, fans get to see George Clooney and Bullock together on screen for the first time, as the two try to survive space, isolated and stranded.

The movie also forced The Heat star to relate to a character who is also dealing with the loss of a child.

“I kept having to say, ‘What would I do [if I lost my son]?’” she said. “I realized I might be far worse off than she is.”

While Bullock may have been getting deep into character, producer David Heyman made sure she wouldn’t have to worry about Louis whether the cameras were rolling or not. He turned a backlot of the London set into a child-proof zone.

“Everything was bumper guarded!” Bullock added. “People go, ‘What is that?’ And I go, ‘That is to protect a child’s head! All of it!’”
