The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed up 128 points at 15,191. The Nasdaq Composite added 23 points, 3,729. The S&P 500 gained 12 points to close at 1,683.

Oil prices fell about $2 a barrel to $107 on Tuesday.

Big changes for the Dow.  The index is dropping its three worst performing stocks — Bank of America, Hewlett-Packard and Alcoa — and replacing them with three new companies — Goldman Sachs Group Inc., Visa Inc. and Nike Inc. All three newcomers advanced Tuesday.

Apple stocks declined 2.4 percent Tuesday after unveiling its latest iPhones — the 5S with a fingerprint scanner and faster processor, and the lower priced 5C, starting at $99.
