Suicide Bomber in Iraq Attacks Funeral, More than 20 People Killed

Mario Tama/Getty Images(MOSUL, Iraq) — A funeral in Iraq attended by members of an ethnic minority was attacked by a suicide bomber on Saturday.

More than 20 people were killed and many are injured, the BBC reports.

The suicide bomber set off an explosive belt inside a tent at a funeral held by members of the Shabak minority.

The attack took place near the northern city of Mosul. Most of people came from surrounding villages just east of the town.

According to the BBC, officials do not know who was responsible for the attack.
