Travelers Insurance Releases First-Ever Consumer Risk Index
Published at | Updated at(NEW YORK) — In light of National Preparedness Month, the Insurance group Travelers has released its first-ever Consumer Risk Index identifying Americans’ top concerns.
“One of the key findings from the data is that 63 percent of Americans believe their world is growing riskier,” said Travelers’ Senior Vice President Patrick Gee.
According to the report, financial concerns were at the top of list, followed closely by the risk to personal privacy. Americans are also concerned with technological distractions, as well as severe weather.
“More than half of Americans indicated they have an evacuation plan for unexpected situations,” said Gee. “They now store some extra food or water in the case of disasters.”
