Two Receive Probation for Mortgage Fraud
Published at | Updated at(POCATELLO, ID) – Two area residents have been sentenced to five years probation after pleading guilty to mortgage fraud. Thirty-seven-year-old Darin Henecke of Pocatello and 60-year-old Karen Shaw of Chubbuck allegedly made false statements to federal housing authorities about their monthly income in order to secure a mortgage for a home in Eagle in 2009. U.S. Magistrate Judge Ronald Bush also ordered each defendant to pay just under $43,000 in restitution.
