Victim in Fatal Crash Identified

(IDAHO FALLS, ID) – Idaho Falls Police have released the name of a man who was killed in a car accident along Sunnyside Road Monday afternoon. 22-year-old Byron Sorenson of Rigby was headed westbound on Sunnyside when he collided head on with a vehicle attempting a left turn onto Channing Way, causing his vehicle to roll. Sorenson was taken to EIRMC where he was pronounced dead. A pedestrian who was hit by Sorenson’s vehicle sustained non-life-threatening injuries, while the other driver was treated at the scene. An investigation is ongoing.
