(15) Oklahoma Hands (10) Texas Tech its First Loss
Published at(NORMAN, Okla.) — Oklahoma running back Damien Williams rushed for 97 yards and two touchdowns, as No. 15 Oklahoma hands No. 10 Texas Tech its first loss of the season 38-30 Saturday.
Oklahoma (7-1, 4-1 Big 12) took a 21-7 lead early in the third quarter when Williams rushed for his first touchdown of the game. But Tech proceeded to score 17 unanswered points taking a 24-21 lead when quarterback Davis Webb connected with Jakeem Grant on a 17-yard touchdown.
That lead didn’t last long as the Sooners scored on their next drive, taking the lead for good.
Jalen Saunders had six catches for 153 yards and two touchdowns in the win.
Red Raiders freshman quarterback Davis Webb completed 33 of 53 passes for 385 yards and two touchdowns as Texas Tech (7-1, 4-1 Big 12) loses its first game under coach Kliff Kingsbury.
