American Football Field Yard Lines IStockPhoto/ Thinkstock(NEW YORK) — Top-ranked Alabama has suspended free safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix indefinitely for violation of team rules.

Head coach Nick Saban refused to elaborate on why Clinton-Dix was suspended.

“When guys get suspended, I never ever say what it’s for, so I’m not going there, so don’t ask me,” Saban said.  “It’s the way I’ve always handled this — every guy. They do right, they wouldn’t be getting suspended. And I don’t know for how long this will be, so don’t ask me that either.”

The talented junior is second on the team with 24 tackles and two pass breakups.  Alabama will look to either Landon Collins or Geno Smith to replace Clinton-Dix.

Alabama faces Georgia State on Saturday.
