Alaska Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing After Possible Bird Strike
Published at | Updated at(OAKLAND, Calif.) — An Alaska Airlines flight bound for Honolulu was forced to make an emergency landing in Oakland, Calif., Wednesday morning, after pilots reported a possible bird strike.
The pilots of flight 837 reported the issue shortly after taking off from Mineta San Jose International Airport. The Boeing 737, carrying 166 passengers, was diverted to Oakland.
The plane landed without incident. No injuries were reported and passengers and crew were transferred to another flight.
