While he is flattered, Wiggins no longer wants to be compared to them.

“I’ve got a long way to go before I can be compared to Lebron and Durant,” Wiggins told ESPN. “Those are the best players in the world right now and I’m still in college. So I think it’s really unfair to compare me to someone of that caliber.”

“Hopefully one day I can be compared to them, but I still think I have a long way to go before I can be,” he continued.

The hype regarding Wiggins has been building since his commitment to Kansas. The combination of size, athleticism, and basketball IQ have led many scouts to favorably compare him to James and Durant, who are a couple of the best players in the NBA.

The 2014 NBA Draft is expected to be perhaps the best draft in over a decade with Wiggins at the top of the heap.
