Keselowski, who failed to qualify for the Chase this season, took advantage of a late caution flag and took home his first checkered flag since Sept. 30, 2012.

Jimmie Johnson led 130 laps before a crash caused debris to fly everywhere and could not rebound from pit road.

“I never give up. I didn’t qualify well. But I kept working my way forward. I knew we had a good car,” said Keselowski.

Kasey Kahne finished in second, followed by Matt Kenseth, Johnson, and Kyle Busch.

Kenseth now leads the Chase standings by only four points over Johnson.

“I’m happy we finished third,” said Kenseth. “I was so far behind because I qualified so poorly and needed all night to get back up there. Then at the very end they gave me a shot to win and I’m slightly disappointed that I didn’t take advantage of that opportunity.”

Kevin Harvick finished in sixth and is 29 points away from Kenseth in the standings.

The Series heads to Talladega Superspeedway next Sunday with just five races remaining in the season.
