Buccaneers Place WR Mike Williams On IR

J. Meric/Getty Images(TAMPA, Fla.) — Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Williams will miss the rest of the season after he was placed on injured reserve Monday due to a hamstring injury. 

“Mike had a hamstring injury that he tried to play through, but he just wasn’t effective doing it,” Buccaneers head coach Greg Schiano said. “He’ll get surgery now and be repaired and be fine, it’s just going to be a little bit of a recovery.”
