ESPN: Maualuga Expected to Miss 3-4 Weeks
Published at(NEW YORK) — Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Rey Maualuga is expected to miss three to four weeks with a sprained MCL, according to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
Maualuga was injured in the second quarter of the Bengals 49-9 win over the New York Jets Sunday when he crashed into running back Chris Ivory after a two-yard run. Maualuga had to be carted off the field. He was diagnosed with a knee injury and a concussion.
The 26-year-old Maualuga has 51 tackles this year. During his five NFL seasons, he has 399 tackles, six forced fumbles, three sacks and three interceptions.
The Bengals (6-2) will take on the Miami Dolphins (3-4) at Sun Life Stadium Thursday night.
