(BOISE, ID) – A board member of Idaho’s health insurance exchange is stepping down to oversee the exchange’s technology project. Frank Chan resigned from the board Wednesday, the same day that his company received a $375,000 contract to the switchover from a federal website to one that’s run by the state. Chan’s company is seeking a $50 million federal grant to help spearhead the project. In response to accusations of favoritism, director Amy Dowd said that she chose Chan’s company without advertising for contracts in order to better meet deadlines.
