(BOISE, ID) – Idahoans don’t pay much in taxes compared to the rest of the country. According to an annual report released by the Idaho State Tax Commission on Wednesday, Idaho has the third lowest per capita tax burden in the nation, with only Alabama and South Carolina further down on the list. On average, Idahoans pay just under $3,000 per person in taxes each year, compared to nearly $4,300 nationally. Experts say the low tax rate is one of the reasons the Gem State is touted at one of the most business-friendly regions nationwide.
