“Well, he hasn’t gone to trial yet.  And he might not have to,” Smith reveals. “So we’ll see.  Everything is up in the air, but things are feeling positive.”

Last year, Harris and Smith welcomed their first child together, Omere, now 15 months old, and in March, they became engaged while VH1 cameras were rolling.  Harris also has another child from a previous relationship.

Smith says she’s getting used to life without Harris. “You learn to adjust.  You never like it.  It never feels good sleeping by yourself, but you adjust,” she says.  “And that’s what I had to do.  I had to adjust raising my little boy by myself.  I had to adjust to sleeping alone at night.  I had to adjust to the fact that we haven’t gotten married yet [and] a lot of the information wasn’t getting filtered to me the way that I wanted it to.”

“Every single day it’s a new struggle,” she continues.  “You know, running three businesses and being a single mom it’s taught me definitely how to multitask and it’s taught me how to prioritize.”

One of Smith’s businesses includes a new record label with fellow L&HH cast mate Rich Dollaz, a partnership Smith says was an idea they had before they began filming season four, which features newcomers such as rapper-turned-manager Peter Gunz, his girlfriend Tara Wallace and his mistress Amina Buddafly.  Rapper Saigon and his baby’s mother Erica Jean along with former Love & Hip Hop Atlanta star K. Michelle also join this season.

Harris is also getting in the music business, but in a different sort of way. Nicki Minaj recently shouted out the reality star in “I’m Out,” her song with Ciara.

Smith says although Harris is behind bars, he’s heard the musical mention and told Smith, “‘You know, when Nicki Minaj says your name on a song you’ve made it.'” He even got a chance to thank the Queens rapper for the love.
