“Lucky 7” Cancelled After Two Episodes

ABC/Bob D’Amico(NEW YORK) — ABC didn’t have much luck launching its new drama, Lucky 7.  The network has cancelled the series after just two episodes.

The show premiered on Sept. 24 to just 4.4 million viewers.  The second episode, which aired last week, pulled in 2.6 million.

Lucky 7, which was executive produced by Steven Spielberg, focused on seven gas station employees in New York whose relationships with one another change after they win the lottery.

For now, ABC is filling the show’s Tuesday-night 10 p.m. Eastern time slot with reruns of Scandal.
