Man Hurt in Motorcycle Crash

(RIRIE, ID) – A Mackay man was airlifted to EIRMC Saturday night after crashing his motorcycle near Ririe. 20-year-old Zachary Newton reportedly tried to pass two vehicles in a no-passing zone along U.S. Highway 26 when he crashed head-on into a pickup that had just entered the roadway. Newton was not wearing a helmet. His condition is currently unknown. The crash remains under investigation.
