ThinkStock(BATON ROUGE, LA) —  Jeremy Hill rushed for 121 yards as 10th-ranked LSU topped No. 17 Florida 17-6 on Saturday afternoon.

J.C. Copeland and backup quarterback Anthony Jennings both ran for one-yard touchdowns in the second quarter to help the Tigers (6-1, 3-1) win their second-straight game.

Zach Mettenberger completed nine passes for 152 yards in the win.  He didn’t need to do too much, as the defense gladly carried the load for the Tigers.

The Gators (4-2, 3-1) took a 3-0 lead in the first quarter, but they were only able to muster one more field goal after that.

The Tigers return to action on October 19. against Ole Miss.
