“No one did that, to my knowledge,” Schaub said during a news conference Wednesday afternoon.

Schaub is not the most popular figure in Houston at the moment, as his team has lost three straight games during which he has thrown six interceptions. So one might imagine concern over suspicious individuals near his home – obscenities or not.

The Houston Police, in a series of tweets, said one of the intruders may have been taking pictures.

“Contrary to some reports, there was not a group of ‘angry fans’ outside the Schaub residence on Monday,” police said. “A family member reported seeing a suspicious male in the driveway of the residence taking pictures….Police were not called to the home. No other information to release at this time.”

Later, in another tweet, police added, “Schaub family has filed report with HPD regarding two separate trespassers. Investigation in earliest stages. No other info at this time.”

Earlier, NFL vice president of security Jeff Miller told NFL.com that an individual pulled into Schaub’s home driveway on Tuesday night and shouted obscenities, and said that NFL security was investigating.

“This is a little unusual in that we don’t normally have fans acting in this way, going to a player’s residence, that sort of thing,” Miller told NFL.com. “In this case, Monday afternoon, a vehicle pulled into his driveway, an unidentified individual yelled obscenities. The police department is involved. We’ve been in contact with them as we normally would for anything like this. And because it’s a team issue, they have a security director, we work with them.”

Jodi Silva, a spokeswoman for the Houston Police Department, told ABC News that police were working in tandem with the NFL security team to investigate the incident.

Though Schaub did not go into detail about the incident at a news conference Wednesday, his teammates had more to say. Tight end Owen Daniels called the alleged incident “childish, pathetic,” and defensive end J.J. Watt said the home is off-limits for fans.

Linebacker Brian Cushing was even more forward, saying that if the same event happened to him, he wouldn’t have responded so politely.

“I don’t think that guy would be around much longer,” he said.
