Favre appreciated the offer, but declined.  The Rams lost quarterback Sam Bradford to a season-ending knee injury on Sunday and were looking for an upgrade.

The Rams called Favre on Sunday night to see if he had any interest in another return, according to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter.

Favre has not played since December 2010 during his time with the Minnesota Vikings and is now enjoying time with his family.

The Rams signed veteran quarterback Brady Quinn, who was released by the New York Jets earlier this week.  They also signed Austin Davis, who spent the 2012 season and 2013 preseason with St. Louis.

Kellen Clemens is scheduled to start on Monday night against the Seahawks.
