Roadside Bomb Kills Wedding Guests in Afghanistan
Published at(GHAZNI, Afghanistan) — A roadside bomb in Afghanistan’s southern Ghazni killed eighteen civilians on a minibus Sunday. The group was on the way to a wedding.
The minibus hit a roadside bomb, injuring five females and killing mostly women, with 14 women, three men and a child dead. Two remain in critical condition.
Taliban militants denied responsibility for the attack, according to the BBC, saying they had no operations under way in the Ander district.
Civilian deaths in the country are often caused by roadside bombs used by suspected Taliban militants in an effort to target security forces.
