Tim Lincecum Agrees to Two-Year Deal with Giants
Published at(SAN FRANCISCO) — Tim Lincecum will return to the San Francisco Giants after all.
The 29-year-old starting pitcher has agreed to a two-year contract with the Giants that will keep him with the team through the 2015 season.
The deal is reportedly worth $35 million and includes a full no-trade clause. Lincecum will have to pass a physical for the deal to become official.
Lincecum went 10-14 with a 4.37 ERA and 193 strikeouts in 32 starts this season. The two-time NL Cy Young Award winner helped the Giants capture the World Series trophy in 2010 and 2012. He pitched a no-hitter on July 13.
The Giants struggled to defend their title this season, finishing with a 76-86 record and missing the postseason.
