Trailer for Second “Hobbit” Film Debuts

New Line Cinema/MGM/Warner Bros. Pictures(NEW YORK) — A full-length trailer for Peter Jackson’s upcoming second Hobbit film has debuted online.
The snippet of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug shows Martin Freeman’s Hobbit Bilbo Baggins, Ian McKellen’s wizard Gandalf, and their fellowship of dwarves as they continue their quest to smite the gold hoarding dragon Smaug.
In addition to some sneak peeks at some epic action scenes, the trailer finally gives fans their first taste of Benedict Cumberbatch’s menacing, mellifluous voice as the massive dragon.
The Desolation of Smaug hits theaters Dec. 13.
