The unidentified man, 52, became belligerent midway through his easyJet flight from Malta to Manchester, swearing at nearby passengers and the flight crew, stated the report. Upon arrival, the behavior continued, with the individual urinating on the side of a terminal building, threatening the pilot and peeling off all of his clothing, the report stated.

Police were called and tasered the man after he resisted cooperating, but not before his female associate slapped him across the face, the report states.

“He must have been drunk because when he came off the plane, he took his top off and shouted ‘come on then’ in a Manchester accent and was trying to get the captain to fight him,” a witness told the News. “Then he carried on taking all his clothes off. I have no idea why. The woman he was with gave him a slap for it.”

Representatives of easyJet confirmed the incident to ABC News.

“Whilst such incidents are extremely rare, easyJet takes them very seriously and easyJet’s cabin crew are trained to assess and respond to all situations appropriately,” said Dagmar Dua, a spokesperson for the airline. “As a result, the passenger was refused alcohol onboard by the cabin crew who acted in the interests of all passengers in order to prevent the situation from escalating.”

All passengers disembarked safely and the suspect was issued a “fixed penalty notice” by police and arrested, she said.

“The safety and security of our passengers and crew is easyJet’s highest priority and we apologise for any distress or inconvenience experienced by fellow passengers,” stated the airline.
