Utah Toddler Was Dead for 10 Days When Found

(LOGAN, UT) – A northern Utah toddler was dead for at least ten days when authorities found his body in his home last month. Eli Rutchey of Cache Valley was discovered in his home Sept. 4. The boy’s 42-year-old mother had showed up at Logan Regional Hospital seeking treatment for unspecified reasons. A nurse, who worried about the toddler’s well-being, asked police to stop by the home, where the boy was found dead. Charges against the mother are pending.
