The announcement, made on Monday by the university’s Office of Communication, says graduate students living in undergraduate dormitories, the Graduate College and annexes, as well as other members of the University community with certain medical conditions, should also receive the vaccine.

These groups were recommended to receive the vaccine due to their increased risk of getting meningitis.

Eight confirmed cases of meningococcal disease have been reported at the school, affecting university students and one student visitor.

The first dose of the vaccine will be available from Dec. 9 through 12 at the Frist Campus Center. A second dose will come in February, according to the statement. Two doses are recommended for maximum protection against the disease.

Princeton University will cover the costs.
