Kerry Washington Honored in “InStyle” Social Media Awards

ABC/Randy Holmes(LOS ANGELES) — Scandal’s Kerry Washington keeps racking up the awards this year and this time she’s nabbed an honor in InStyle magazine’s first-ever Social Media Awards.
After InStyle editors nominated 50 notables across social media platforms — such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube — over 350,000 readers voted in the fashion magazine’s awards on InStyle.com.
Washington nabbed the “Best Backstage Access on Instagram” for her photo-sharing profile that has over 400,000 followers. Washington’s honors this year include being named People magazine’s “Best Dressed Woman of 2013” and three NAACP Image Awards.
Another celebrity to win an InStyle award is Mariah Carey and her eight dogs. The singer nabbed “Most Stylish Pet on Instagram.”
The winners will be featured in the December issue of InStyle, which hits newsstands on Nov. 15.
