Damien Williams ran for 128 yards and two touchdowns as No. 18 Oklahoma routed Iowa State 48-10 on Saturday afternoon.  With the win, Swoops tied Barry Switzer’s record for the most coaching victories in school history.

“I’ve done my best to ignore that or stay away from it,” Stoops said of tying Switzer’s record. “All I’ll do is compliment coach Switzer. He was a special coach at his time. Not many coaches have a Super Bowl with three national championships.”

Trevor Knight added 123 yards and a rushing touchdown for the Sooners, (8-2, 5-2 Big 12) who overcame an early 10-3 deficit by scoring 45 unanswered points.  Knight stepped in after Blake Bell left the game in the second quarter with an injury.

Grant Rohach struggled for the Cyclones, (1-9, 9-7) passing for 179 yards with two interceptions.

One more Sooner victory will be No. 158 for Stoops, giving him sole possession in the coaching record books at Oklahoma.
