Only minor injuries were reported among the 11 people onboard the planes. One of the planes broke apart and crashed, but not before the four skydivers bailed out.

Each of the nine skydivers aboard the two planes had either jumped or were preparing to jump at the time of the collision, the Duluth News-Tribune reports.

The National Transportation Safety Board was notified of the collision and is expected to investigate the circumstances of the crash.
