Zach Parise Out 2-3 Weeks with Foot Contusion
Published at(NEW YORK) — Minnesota Wild winger Zach Parise is expected to miss two-three weeks with a foot contusion, the team announced Tuesday.
Parise was injured in the first period of the Wild’s loss to the Blues Monday night when he took an Alexander Steen slap shot off his foot. Parise played three shifts into the second period before leaving the ice for good.
The 29-year-old Parise leads the Wild in points with 22 (11 goals, 11 assists).
Minnesota’s game versus Phoenix Wednesday will mark the first time Parise has missed a game since signing a 13-year, $98 million deal with the Wild in July 2012.
