On Saturday, JPMorgan Chase notified the impacted customers — less than 10 percent of Chase debit card accounts — that the limits would go into effect as a precaution, saying that, “unfortunately, your debit card is at risk by the breach at Target stores,” according to the New York Times. Affected customers will only be able to withdraw $100 cash per day and make purchases totaling $300 per day.

Target said on Thursday that hackers had stolen credit and debit card data from as many as 40 million shoppers.

JPMorgan Chase also plans to reissue debit cards to those impacted.

Citibank was reportedly considering similar limitations on those cards endangered by the breach.
