Six Bulls scored in double figures, including a 20-point performance from forward Taj Gibson. Gibson also added eight points along with two blocks.

“It was stressfull,” said Gibson, who’s a Brooklyn native. “I did a toy drive and I was tired, but it was great to see my family.”

Jimmy Butler, Mike Dunleavy, Carlos Boozer, Joakim Noah, and D.J. Augustin also scored in double figures for Chicago.

With the loss the Nets fell to 9-19, continuing their disappointing season.

“I’m surprised at this season, how it’s played out altogether,” Nets’ point guard Deron Williams said. “It’s like a nightmare the way injuries have been, the things we talk about everyday, the lack of effort, the lack of energy.”

Williams led the Nets with 18 points and four assists in the loss. Mirza Teletovic also added 17 points.
