Delta Flight Delayed After Incident at San Jose Airport
Published at | Updated at(SAN JOSE, Calif.) — Passengers aboard a Delta Airlines flight leaving San Jose, Calif. experienced some delays Tuesday after two separate incidents on the tarmac.
One flight leaving to Minneapolis left the gate at Mineta San Jose International Airport but soon returned after a reported problem with the plane’s bathroom. The lavatory onboard was leaking water.
While ground workers repaired the bathroom, they saw a flame shoot out from another plane’s engine tailpipe. The fire quickly went out, according to a Delta spokesperson.
Delta Airlines says the two problems were unrelated.
All 148 passengers and six crew members onboard the Minneapolis-bound flight were able to leave the plane.
