Does Bindi Irwin Have a Boyfriend?

Ben Beaden/Australia Zoo via Getty Images(NEW YORK) — Bindi Irwin, the daughter of late “Crocodile Hunter” Steve Irwin, is growing up. After celebrating her 15th birthday earlier this year, Irwin is now hinting at a budding first romance via Instagram.
The next generation “wildlife warrior” has posted pictures of her and a young man, identified in the Australian press as Queensland native Bailey “Bazz” Lancaster.
In one photo taken in September with Irwin, Lancaster and an unidentified young woman pose with a wombat. “Two of the most wonderful people I know and amazing friends,” Irwin wrote in the caption.
Commenting on the photo, Lancaster wrote, “Bazz here. Cheers for friendzoning me… Love you too hahahahaha”
“You are in my very, very close friend zone. @bazzlancaster,” Irwin wrote in response.
In later photos, Lancaster reportedly stated his affection for Irwin even more clearly.
According to Australia’s Couriermail.com, Lancaster responded to admirers among Irwin’s 46,000 followers who were commenting on a photo of the teen by writing, “Mine. Back off boys. Getting pretty jelly,” meaning that he was jealous.
When a follower asked if the pair were dating or just friends, Lancaster reportedly replied, “You betcha buddy. Dating it up date style.”
According to Couriermail.com, Lancaster has since deleted the comments and his own Instagram account.
Earlier this year, Irwin told Australia’s The Sunday Mail that she was too busy traveling with her mother Teri and 10-year-old brother while continuing her father’s conservation work, to have a boyfriend.
