ESPN: Infante Headed to Royals
Published at(NEW YORK) — Infielder Omar Infante has agreed to a four-year deal worth approximately $30 million with the Kansas City Royals, according to ESPN MLB Insider Buster Olney.
The 31-year-old Infante played 118 games for the Detroit Tigers last season, during which he hit .318 with 10 home runs and 51 RBIs.
Infante is a versatile defender, having played all three outfield positions, third base, shortstop and second base during his 12-season career.
According to Olney, the New York Yankees offered Infante a three-year, $24 million deal earlier in the week.
