Playing without Kobe Bryant, the Lakers (13-16) tied the game four times in the fourth quarter before Miami pulled away late.  Bryant has been sidelined with a fractured left knee.

“I knew we would get a good game out of them, and I think the NBA wanted a good game,” Heat forward LeBron James said.

Nick Young led the Lakers with 20 points, while Pau Gasol added 13 points and 13 rebounds.

“I thought we attacked them the way we wanted to,” Lakers coach Mike D’Antoni said. “We can step it up a bit and be a little bit tougher, especially on the boards and places like that. Those things are irritating, but the effort is good.”

The Heat (22-6) are winners of six straight.
