A survey by Bookoo.com found that last year 62 percent of gift-givers planned to regift and more than 90 percent of people said that regifting was okay to do.

So, now that regifting is considered acceptable, how do you do it without getting caught?

Lifestyle expert Limor Suss shared four tips on ABC’s Good Morning America on how to perfect the art of regifting.

TIP #1: ONLY REGIFT NON-PERISHABLE ITEMS

“Wine is great to regift. One of the other things that’s great to regift is home appliances.”

TIP #2: RE-WRAP AND LOOK FOR NOTES

“You also want to look through the whole gift just to make sure, [and] maybe inside the gift, so that there aren’t any notes from somebody else.”

TIP #3: PUT POST-ITS ON ALL GIFTS

“Take a post-it note and write down who gave you the gift and who was around when you opened that gift.”

TIP #4: ADD TO THE GIFT

“If you get a bottle of wine, buy new wine glasses and make it your own gift.”
