Ravens Edge Vikings On Late Touchdown
Published at(BALTIMORE) — A little bit of snow was not going to stop these two teams.
Marlon Brown hauled in a touchdown pass from Joe Flacco with four seconds remaining as the Baltimore Ravens rallied to defeat the Minnesota Vikings 29-26 on Sunday at M&T Bank Stadium.
Baltimore took a 15-12 lead with 2:05 remaining. It was the first of five combined touchdowns by both teams in the final two minutes. Matt Cassel hit Vikings rookie receiver Cordarrelle Patterson for a 79-yard touchdown with 45 seconds remaining, before the defending Super Bowl answered one final time.
“I’ve never seen a game like that before,” Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs said. “Besides the Super Bowl, that’s probably the most special win I’ve been a part of. Crazy game.”
The Ravens (7-6) have won three-straight and currently hold the second and final wild-card spot in the AFC playoff picture.
Minnesota (3-9-1) lost running back Adrian Peterson to a sprained left foot in the second quarter. He had to be carted off the field through the snow and sleet.
