Sarkisian said over the weekend that he will reach out to Ed Orgeron and ask him to be a part of the coaching staff this season.

Orgeron, who resigned Dec 2. after the school gave Sarkisian the head coaching job, went 6-2 as USC’s head coach this season after Lane Kiffin was fired.

Orgeron believed the job was his after resurrecting USC’s season.  He was USC’s defensive line coach and recruiting coordinator before becoming the interim head coach.

Clay Helton has already committed to returning next season. Helton served as USC’s third head coach this season during the Trojans’ 45-20 win over Fresno State in the Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl on Saturday.
