(NEW YORK) — Have your dreams been answered? If you live in or around Atlanta or San Jose, Calif., better check those Mega Millions lottery tickets!
ABC News has confirmed winning tickets were sold in Atlanta, as well as in California’s third-largest city.
The winning numbers drawn Tuesday night were: 8, 20, 14, 17, 39, and Mega Ball 7.
The current jackpot is worth an estimated $636 million. When no winning ticket was sold in last Friday’s drawing, the jackpot rolled over to $550 million, and then jumped again on Monday to $586 million before reaching $636 million, the second highest jackpot total of all-time.
In addition to the two jackpot winners, 20 additional ticket holders won $1 million each. California, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, New Jersey and New York each had two $1 million winners, with Illinois, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Nebraska, Ohio, South Carolina, Texas and West Virginia home to one each.
The biggest Mega Millions jackpot in history was in March 2012, when three winning tickets for a $656 million jackpot were sold in Maryland, Illinois, and Kansas.
Mega Millions is played in 43 states, plus the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The odds of winning are 1 in 259 million.
