Anna Kendrick Pitches Beer in Fake Super Bowl-Related Spot

Frederick M. Brown/Getty Images(NEW YORK) — Pitch Perfect star Anna Kendrick stars in a new “Super Bowl” commercial for the British beer company Newcastle Brown Ale. Sort of.
Technically, it’s not a Super Bowl spot — it’s a viral, “behind-the-scenes” video in which Kendrick claims Newcastle pulled the plug on an ad for the big game in which she was supposed to star, because it didn’t have the money to make one.
Kendrick explains the situation as she sits in a hairdresser’s chair. As part of the joke, she’s repeatedly censored as she utters the phrases “Super Bowl” and “big game.”
Kendrick also speaks highly of herself in an amusing manner. She states at one point, “I was surprised I was offered the part because I don’t think of myself as ‘beer commercial babe’ hot. …I’m approachable hot, like ‘the hottest girl in your improv class’ hot.”
