Ex-Madison County Sheriff’s Employee Sentenced

(REXBURG, ID) – A former employee of the Madison County sheriff’s office has been sentenced for stealing money from her employer. Forty-four-year-old Sandra Biorn was given five years probation and 30 days in jail for taking $3,500 from her office. Biorn allegedly manipulated computer files to make it appear that the funds were still there, however, a monthly audit showed that the money was missing. Biorn was given a withheld judgment, which she can ask the court to dismiss as long as she successfully completes probation.
