Florida State’s Benjamin to Enter NFL Draft
Published at(NEW YORK) — Florida State wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin announed Friday that he will enter the 2014 draft.
Benjamin caught the game-winning touchdown pass from Jameis Winston with 13 seconds remaining in the Vizio National Championship, helping the Seminoles defeat Auburn 34-31.
The redshirt sophomore caught 54 passes for 1,011 yards and 15 touchdowns for the Seminoles. He developed into a dominant receiver after showing flashes of inconsistency earlier in the year.
The 6-foot-5, 234 pound Benjamin could emerge as a deep threat in the NFL because of his size and athleticism.
He emerged as a dominant force late in the season after periods of inconsistency and had two touchdown receptions in the ACC title game.
