Germany’s Angela Merkel Fractures Pelvis in Skiing Accident

US Dept of State(BERLIN) — The holiday turned ugly for German chancellor Angela Merkel.
Merkel fractured her pelvis while cross-country skiing in Switzerland, but didn’t initially realize the extent of her injury. It wasn’t until a doctor’s visit on Friday that she found out about the “partial fracture on the left, rear part of the pelvis,” her spokesman said, according to the BBC.
Merkel has been ordered to stay in bed and will be working from home for the next few weeks.
