Malad Postmaster Indicted on Drug Charges

(MALAD, ID) – The Malad Postmaster has been indicted on felony grand theft charges. Twenty-eight-year-old Brad Hunter allegedly called in a false report about an armed robbery at the Malad Post Office last Wednesday. An ensuing investigation found that Hunter used the fake robbery to steal cash. He was later found in possession of drugs and other paraphernalia, as well as mail that had been stolen from the Post Office. The stolen money has been recovered. Hunter remains in custody on a $100,000 bond.
