Michelle Obama Extending Hawaii Vacation

JEWEL SAMAD/AFP/Getty Images(OAHU, Hawaii) — While President Obama and their daughters head back to Washington, Michelle Obama will be extending her Hawaii vacation.
The White House announced that the First Lady is taking a few extra days in Oahu to spend with her friends.
“As part of her birthday gift from the President… the First Lady will remain in Hawaii to spend time with friends ahead of her upcoming 50th birthday,” a White House official said.
Michelle Obama will turn 50 on Jan. 17.
