Sarah Palin Chides Obama for Playing Race Card

Ethan Miller/Getty Images(WASHINGTON) — Former half-term Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin commemorated Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday by admonishing President Obama, possibly for comments he made in an interview with The New Yorker magazine.
Among other things, the president said how some people dislike him because he is an African-American while others may give him too much slack for that very same reason.
In her Facebook post, Palin, the 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee, displayed a photo with an inscription from King that read, “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.”
Palin then followed up the quote with one of her own, “Mr. President, in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. and all who commit to ending any racial divide, no more playing the race card.”
Obama and his family spent Martin Luther King Jr. Day as they normally do, volunteering in a soup kitchen. The president has previously proclaimed that the best way to celebrate King’s legacy is with a day of service to the community.
