State of the Union: Rep. McMorris Rodgers to Deliver GOP Response

US Congress(WASHINGTON) — Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers of Washington State will deliver the Republican response to President Obama’s State of the Union address Tuesday night.
Rodgers, 44, is a rising Republican in Congress. She currently serves as chairwoman of the House Republican Conference.
“Tremendously honored to speak with you and share our Republican vision for America after the #SOTU on Tuesday!” she tweeted Thursday.
McMorris Rodgers was selected to deliver the response by House Speaker John Boehner and other Republican leaders, as one aide tells ABC News, to put a “terrific face” on the Republican Party.
