Richard Parker, the couple’s 49-year-old son-in-law, faces multiple counts of premeditated first-degree murder and is being held on $1 million bond. The arrest comes on the same day that 72-year-old Marion Setzer succumbed to injuries caused by the blast that also killed her 74-year-old husband, John.

During a joint news conference, ATF Special Agent Jeff Fulton asked that anybody with knowledge of the incident reach out to authorities.

“This remains an ongoing investigation, and I want to let everybody know the reward is still out there. If there’s additional information to come in that will help us close any loose ends, we still want the public’s assistance,” he said Thursday.

Fulton also assured residents that the bomb was not delivered through the mail.

“This device was placed, it was not shipped in any way through any common carrier,” he said.

At Thursday’s news conference, Mark Gwyn, director of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, expressed his condolences to the family, and said he hopes the arrest brings closure.

“This particular case may be not the closure they were expecting or wanting, but in effect at least now they do know what truly happened to their loved ones,” he said.
